Mr Wei Ming Ben Lip

English, Biology & Chemistry Tutor in Tanglin

Hi! I'm Wei Ming. I'm a Year 2 Biomedical Science undergraduate with over 300 hours of tutoring experience, specialising in English, Biology and Chemistry for Secondary and Junior College students. I graduated from Raffles Institution with 88.75 Rank Points, achieving A grades in H2 Biology, H2 Chemistry and General Paper, and was awarded the NUS Merit Scholarship for my academic performance. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve examination techniques and gain confidence in subjects they once found challenging. Alongside private tuition, I also teach at established tuition centres across Singapore, where I've worked with students preparing for school assessments, O-Level and A-Level examinations. My lessons are structured but flexible, adapting to each student's learning style, strengths and academic goals. Rather than simply teaching content, I focus on helping students recognise common examination patterns, improve response techniques and develop the critical thinking skills needed to tackle unfamiliar questions confidently. Students receive personalised lesson notes, carefully curated practice papers, detailed feedback after every lesson and continued academic support outside lesson time whenever they need clarification. Over the years, many of my students have achieved significant improvements through consistent practice and targeted guidance. Whether your goal is to strengthen your foundations, improve your examination performance or achieve top grades, I'll work closely with you to develop a clear study plan and provide the support needed to help you succeed.
