Bridge the Gap Between School Maths and Engineering

I'm Wei Lun, a Year 4 Civil Engineering undergraduate who enjoys helping students develop the confidence to tackle technical subjects without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you're preparing for O-Levels, A-Levels or navigating your first engineering modules in university, I believe learning becomes much more manageable when difficult concepts are broken down into clear, logical steps. Having progressed through engineering myself, I understand the transition from school mathematics to university-level problem solving. My lessons are designed to bridge that gap by strengthening fundamentals first before introducing more advanced applications, helping students not only perform better in assessments but also gain a deeper understanding of the subject.

Experience

Academic Background ⁃ Year 4 Civil Engineering Undergraduate – Nanyang Technological University (NTU) ⁃ Anderson Serangoon Junior College ⁃ 86.25 RP, with A grades in H2 Mathematics and H2 Physics Teaching Experience Over the past three years, I've tutored students across Secondary School, Junior College and university, supporting learners at different stages of their academic journey. Alongside O-Level and A-Level Mathematics and Physics, I also teach Year 1 and Year 2 engineering mods! Lessons are personalised around each student's module content, lecture notes and tutorial questions, making them especially useful for students preparing for quizzes, midterms and final examinations. Students receive concise summary notes, step-by-step worked examples, tutorial guidance, practice papers and additional problem sets selected according to their weaker topics. I also help students develop systematic problem-solving techniques so they understand the reasoning behind each method rather than simply memorising formulas. Whether you're trying to strengthen your foundations in Mathematics and Physics or looking for support in university engineering modules, my goal is to help you build the confidence and analytical skills needed to succeed both academically and professionally.
