Trusted JC Mathematics, English & Physics Tutor | 5+ Years Experience | Novena
I'm Cayla, a full-time tutor with over five years of teaching experience, having worked with more than 50 students through private tuition, enrichment programmes and established tuition providers. Throughout my teaching journey, I've also collaborated with organisations including The Learning Lab, Mind Stretcher and several boutique tuition centres, giving me experience supporting students with different learning styles, academic goals and school curricula. Based in Novena, I specialise in Mathematics, English and Physics, working with students from Primary through Junior College. Whether a student is catching up after falling behind or aiming for distinction grades, every lesson is designed around what will make the biggest impact on their learning.

What Makes My Lessons Different? Rather than overwhelming students with stacks of assessment books, I believe in studying smarter. Every lesson focuses on: - Identifying knowledge gaps early - Strengthening concepts before intensive practice - Learning effective answering techniques - Building efficient revision routines - Developing confidence through consistent progress Students receive personalised worksheets, topic summaries, examination-style questions and detailed feedback after lessons, allowing them to improve steadily throughout the year. More Than Just Academic Support Over the years, I've found that many students don't just need help with their subjects—they also need someone to guide them through the challenges of school life. Beyond lessons, I'm always happy to provide advice on: - Subject combinations and academic planning - Revision schedules before examinations - Time management and study techniques - Building confidence and overcoming exam anxiety My goal is to become a mentor students feel comfortable approaching, creating a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes become valuable learning opportunities.
